Appointments

diary_appointmentAll consultations are by appointment and can be arranged online, by telephone, or by calling in to the surgery.

In most circumstances, initial contact with a GP is by telephone. The GP or other clinician will arrange a face-to-face appointment with you if and when appropriate. The majority of nurse or healthcare assistant appointments are in person.

Each appointment is for one person If you have several problems you wish to discuss, you may be asked to make an additional appointment in order to allow each problem to be fully addressed.

WHEN BOOKING APPOINTMENTS ONLINE, DR HYLAND AND DR DENVIR APPOINTMENTS MAY ALSO APPEAR.  ALTHOUGH WE WORK CLOSELY TOGETHER, WE ARE 2 SEPARATE PRACTICES.  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT PATIENTS ONLY MAKE APPOINTMENTS WITH THEIR REGISTERED DOCTOR.

Treatment Room

The nurse is available for health checks, blood pressure, dressings, vaccinations etc. The practice nurse also runs specific clinics on some afternoons. An appointment system is in place and appointments can be made at reception. Some blood tests and other specimens need to be taken prior to 12 midday to facilitate timely delivery to the laboratory.

Telephone Advice

Many problems can be sorted over the telephone saving the need to come into the surgery. If you wish to speak to the doctor please telephone in the morning. If the doctor is not immediately available you can leave a number and the doctor will return your call later that day.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
